are you talking about this year contest? I can if you want, no problem on my part, you will have to wait till after I get the super bowl pool done. I would make a nice prelog for the 07 season... normaly I do every year, I didnt this year because I was a bit busy during the year.
Dave, Is the results of the contest going to be posted on any of the boards? I was thinking it would be cool to get the final standings out for everyone to see, maybe on one of the more busy boards.
I agree, I think 2007 will be alot better year. It was a fun contest though. Congrats to everyone who entered the contest!
Thanks Dave, lets see what 07 brings over the rail.

The boss set the closing time for december 1st on the Photo Gallery
when does it end? i thought it was dec.31
Just a few days left guys to get your pictures in for the 2006 contest. be sure to check your scores up against mine, I do make mistakes and I to hit the post button before I am done. Now is the time to hallar.
Still time to get in on the action. all you need do is take a peice of paper and write BFT on it, or if you dont have a peice of paper write it in the sand with a stick. No excuses for not being able to get in the fun.... good luck...
I havent planted the giant ones, but have planted the big ones. no prize winners but I did get some respectable specimens 10 - 12 inches in diamiter. 7-8 feet tall. dont forget to take pictures with the little one watering them, the pics will make for a super nice extra surprize... today I planted sweet corn and kentucky blue grass. today is a cold drizzely day. my garden is all planted now, Pole beans, Summer Squash, Zuccini Squash, Early girl tomatos, Beefsteak tomatos, Golden Bantum Sweet corn. normaly I plant Brocclie but last year I produced enough for two years. I stocked up on it in the freezer. This year I was thinking Creamed Style Corn... mmmmmmmmm Ya just cut the curnels off the cob raw then scrape the cob with a butter knife, putt it in baggies and freeze, you can cook it first if you like, it dosnt realy matter, I can cook it in the micro wave in just a couple minutes right out of the baggie and add a pad of butter and a dash of salt... I make it when the sweet corn comes available in the store, it has been in now for about two weeks. they look at me like I am nuts when I only buy one ear of corn at a time.. lol, I like it fresh when I can get it...LOL I freeze a lot of beens too, cooked and raw. they cook well in the microwave in just about 5 minutes. I cook all my tomatos now before freezing them, stewed, spagetti sauses and chillie.
The rains hit here ! GOT A FEW MORE BAGS OF GRASS PLANTED , The pines are comming down tomorow . Saved a 14' x 6' x 5' pile of needels under a tarp , using them to burn down a root ball from the biggest pine , 6' diameter ball of roots ! too big and deep to pull with the jeep . The rest of the pine needels i use as a covering around the flowers and stuff , it keeps the weeds from growing , free and better than ceder chips . the garden spot has to be turned over one more time before planting .
Ever try planting SunFlowers? The big ones, not the little ones. My son and I was going to surprise the wife and plant some around the back side of the house. She never walks back there, so we were going to surprise her when they got mature. I've also got watermelon and tomatoes going out this weekend, granted my old lady doesn't download the second youngster today. I'm pretty excited about that.
It is kinda dangerous cuttin those dry pines during a dry spell, but I am sure you know this all to well. one good spark and all them shavings will act like a tinder box. the non stop rains hit my house tonight, It has been coming down steady now for 4 hours. the sistem that hit here is on a streight track to your place. I planted my beans a week ago tuesday, they came up last sunday. I set out my tomatos and squash yesterday. I got room for one more thing, I just dont know what that will be yet....
I raked the dust around today and put down 2 50lb. bags of grass seed in anticipation of the upcomming rains , if it decides to show up . I have 5 more pines to drop this week , not a bit of sap ran from the first two I droped , it's dry up here .
I could use a truck load of cow pies,
I have a few upgrades to catch and a few more species . Looking forward to hitting Otsego Lake mid JULY (pg. 10,Mi. fishing guide ). I think the B.F.T. fishing rod needs a workout . My worm box needs a fill up from the Amish barn , maybe they will be emptying the stalls before saturday night . The price is just right ,$5.00 for a trailer full of cow pies and horse biscuts .
Buddy, can ya lend me a fish? here it is in the middle of may and I havent entered a single fish in to the contest. I have a can of worms sitting in my tackle box that have beards longer than mine. I feal a win comming, a mega millions win. Need one to buy a gallon of gas so I can drag my boat to the water...LOL
I bet if she had a fry pan and I was within arms reach , you would have heard the ring all the way down to your house , lol !!!
LOL, I wonder what her excuse would have been if you told them it was a polish trout
Here's the story , 4 kids , around 9 or 10 years old show up with their poles and see me fighting the fish , they are amased ! Once i land it they are awed at the size of it , "what kind of fish is that " one kid asks . I reply , "That's a bugle mouth bass" , and the older guy a few feet down from me starts chuckeling . "What are you going to do with it ?" , the next little kid asks . "Take his picture and let him go" , I say . Then I tell the kids about the contest . "Can we have it ? " "Sure , you take my pic and you can have it ". One kid snapps my pics , then they take turns carrying the thing home . The older guy starts laughing again . He says he would love to see the look on the parents face when they drag that fish in the house . The kids return a short time later covered in slime and put the carp in the river , it swims off . The tallest of the youngsters says ; Mom said that bass isn't in season so we had to put it back . The older guy starts laughing non-stop .

Blue gill 1 inch Blue gill 25 inches + Pike 3 inches Pike 5 inches + common carp 1 inches common carp 5 inches common carp 9 inches common carp 10 inches common carp 100 inches ---------------------------- Three species with a Total 130 inches dose this help? You can keep upgrading the score of your species by bringing in a larger one. We will take the largest of each species and add it to you score. Up to 16 species max score. as for seeing your self, this wont be updated every day, If a week or so goes buy and you dont see the update give me a poke and let me know I fell asleep.
I have a couple of questions: 1. When score is taken, is it the single largest of each species, up to 16 different species, that is tallied up? Or is it all fish combined up to 16 different species? 2. I also didn't notice my presents in the contest yet.
