Hello JJ, Great advise! A hint also if you catch the smaller (black marks on the fish finder are smaller dorado) it will ask you if you want to throw them back or put them in your livewell. If you put them in your livewell you can "troll them as live bait" and catch way bigger marlin. I am going to try this week and see if it hurts your time too much or if the extra wieght of the fish outways the time you loose. I'll let you know if I can beat your score that way JJ. Good Luck guys.
As you can tell from the top scores, I'm getting pretty good at this. But I can't figure out how the heck someone could get 80,000 plus. Here's a few tips: The red bar is your boat speed, keep it maxed until you find a place with all or mosly all red arches on the fish finder. Green is apparently Sail Fish and black is garbage. Once you get to a place with lots of red marks, lower your boat speed to .4 or lower. Don't wait to see the weight when you land a marlin it costs you time.
Anyone else have the problem of getting broke off immediately after hooking up?
Hello Schooley, Arwe you still getting an rerror? Whats the error?
i've been in the top 10 alot of the times yesterday what i was doing was trolling and the trick is to troll at 0.1 is how fast u need to go i picked up alot of hugeeeeeeee marlin and salifish and was trolling by a patty and caught a huge 20 pound dorado with lures/jigs
Hello, Im new to the forum and I was trying to play the marlin fishing game but an error keeps coming up when I try to log in. Any suggestions. Thanks, Schooley
I hit 4500 but most of the time the "Try to catch it" keeps coming up while I fight a fish and I lose the fish, or the same "Try to catch it" box keeps coming up while it does the 321 countdown so I spend a lot of time re clicking.
i can catch big marlins but cant break into the top score list. I do catch a lot of trash though.
I think my highest score thus far was in the 5000 range. Maybe I can bust it later on today if I get bored.
It's crazy to see the scores being posted now. I just now was able to break 5,000 but can't see how someone posted 12,000? A couple of things I noticed that helped me hit 5k were, find the dorado and tuna as fast as possible and get at least 5 in your livewell, these will catch the bigger Marlin. After you catch a Marlin don't wait for the wieght to post, just click O.K. and it will total the final wieght (it saves you a couple seconds that will add up at the end). Look for bigger fish that are closer to the top, it seems like it takes longer for the deeper fish to bite. The ETA to dock is buggy and you actually have way longer then it shows to get back to the dock, so don't head back to wiegh in to early. Anyone know who user hmcidc99 is? He is cranking up some fat scores! Any tips hmcidc99?
Find the seagulls! And catch as many live baits as you can.
