I started a new fishing website about 7 months ago, bought a "cookie cutter" website cheap on Ebay which had absolutely no content at all except for a crappy Amazon Astore and GoogleAds. With my very limited knowledge of HTML, over the months I worked very, very hard putting in hundreds of hours building this site. I built up a pretty good "fan" base on Facebook, started a blog to support the website, wrote relevant articles, submitted to every search engine and highly-ranked relevant site I could, put out a press release, and joined Commission Junction and Linkshare with the hopes of making a dollar or two. I totally re-did the Astore with thousands of fishing products hand-picked by me (no Barbie or Sponge Bob fishing rods). Then I started looking on the search engines to see if any of my keywords came up. After reaching page 30 on the engines and not seeing my site, I gave that up. But searching for my website name, it came up position #1 on Yahoo, along with many links to my site from others. But when I searched Google for my site, only the other sites that link to mine showed up. Google refuses to index my site, even though I submit my sitemap to them whenever I add a page or make big changes to any of the sites pages. Then one day I got an e-mail from Google telling me that my submitted GoogleAd was disapproved. Reason -
Sorry to hear about this, but, generally speaking, Adwords and Indexing are two unrelated things.. Indexing is usually based more on links pointing to your site than anything else, and ranking is something totally different yet.. If you want to PM me your URL I'll take a look, I run a marketing company and do this all day long..
